You can use the collar as a single layer, like bought collars, OR it also comes with a file for making an EASY lining - all in the hoop!

Comes with plenty of photos to help teach you how to use collar with different patterns. It is not difficult!

The design may not work with all patters (example: a boat neck). I use classical/Heirloom type patterns that you can buy at the specialty smocking/Heirloom shops, or on line.
